Category Archives: Pressure Washing Grout and Tile
Have you ever had a lot of problems with mold or mildew growing on your patios and walkways? The best way to fix these problems is to learn how to clean grout outside. Sometimes, you can get the grossest grout outside of your home. If you have areas outside of your home that are often shaded, or easily get wet in the rain, you can have problems with mold and mildew growing on your tiles.
What is the best way to deal with these problems? Well, some people recommend that you use a spray and kill it, but you still have to get rid of the mess afterward. My suggestion is that you get rid of it by using a power washer.
What Is A Power Washer?
A power washer is a great tool for cleaning things. Instead of using chemicals, it uses ordinary water at high pressure. The high pressurized water power-washes off any dirt or bacteria. Ordinary water at high pressure is enough to get rid of mold, mildew, and many other kinds of dirt and grime that might be on your outside walkways.
The pressure washer I use is a 4 gallon pressure washer. I usually turn the PSI up to 3,000 and use the 40 degree wide fan nozzle. It doesn’t take too long to clean tile and grout outside of your home with a pressure washer. The average area you can cover is about 6 to 700 ft.², and it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to clean it off with a pressure washer.
On your pressure washing, you want to start near your home and clean away from it, so you do not get the mess on the side of your house. If your patios and walkways aren’t that bad, just spray them off. If there is a lot of moss growing on them, you’ll want to rake up the moss and dispose of it when you’re done cleaning.
