1)I start by doing a general assessment of the situation. How bad is it really? What type of grout cleaner will I need to get the job done adequately. The Tile and grout cleaners that have worked the best for me include Tilex, 409 bathroom cleaner or bleach.

3)After the chemical has had time to work, use a medium bristled brush or a toothbrush to scrub the tile grout. Then wipe clean with a sponge and rinse with water.
4)If the grout is still dingy, is might need a second cleaning using a grout paste. To make a grout paste, simply combine backing soda, salt, and a little water. This should be a thick paste.
